Site details

  • Well maintained mountain hall build by the Regional Hydroelectric power Company Sunnhordland Kraftlag (SKL).
  • Ground/floor area 200m². Possible to scale up by x3. Several smaller connecting rooms and office space for 5-8 people. The mountain hall can easily be formed/adjusted to any concept demand. There is a local tax of 0,07% on upgraded/adjusted facilities.
  • The entrance gate is large to transport containers. There are two entrances/exits for safety.
  • “Next door” / adjoining mountain hall is the facility location for the main hydroelectric power turbine and power supply.
  • Hall temperature +7° Humidity compressor installed. 2 effective bilge pumps installed to secure possible water/humidity leakage/penetration from mountain.
  • EMI radiation zero.

Power supply

  • Kvinnherad Municipality hosts several major producers of renewable energy with an annual production of approx. 2700 GWh. The on-site hydroelectric power station alone produces annually 800 GWh.
  • There are 3 levels of power supply on site; the national grid Statnett, the regional Haugaland Kraft and the local Kvinnherad Energi – hence redundant power supply.
  • Available power supply 5-10MW / 22KV. +20MW expansion available within short timespan.

Water/cooling options

  • Direct water to water heat exchangers. No need for cooling compressors.
  • A constant reliable supply of cooling water from the fjord outside pumped from 45m at a temperature +5°
